Proud to be a PIG

Shortly before Christmas, the Plastics Industry Golfing Society, affectionately known as the PIGS, held its annual Christmas event at Wakefield Golf Club at Woodthorpe. Some 16 brave souls enjoyed a chilly but dry round of golf – at least until they returned to the clubhouse.

Pictured above, fifth from the left and sporting the official PIGS tie is Jolliffe Cork partner, Tim Hill, who enjoyed a rare visit to the winner’s podium as his team romped home with several shots to spare. The celebrations ended with the customary Christmas envelope prize draw which raised over £200 for Save the Children.

The PIGS is a national golfing society (with very little remaining connection to the plastics industry) which meets six times a year at well-known courses all over Yorkshire. Guests and new members are always welcome – get in touch with Tim Hill for further details.
